Zoo trip

On Tuesday we went to the Zoo for the end of year trip

the keepers put things that the animals can hide under and things to play on

My favourite part was seeing the monkeys .

The most challenging thing was the treasure hunt because you had to look around the hole Zoo

My favourite animal was seeing the monkeys because they are silly. 

cat's eye's

Today we made cat's eye's,we made them because it's the end of the year 
Materials:
ice block sticks 
wool
scissors
hot glue

Steps:
1.Glue your sticks together in a cross
2.Get your wool and wrap it around your cross
3.make sure your wool goes across 2 sticks then 1/4 turn
4.Make sure you go around 1 stick and then make a 1/4 turn until the end

I know I'm successful because they look like an eye 

my favourite bit was the end because you got to look at the end product 

Dirt Dessert

On Thursday Mrs Gunn told Rm 14 that we are going to write procedure a about dirt desserts and got to make them. here is my  procedure



How to make a dirt dessert 
Goal: to make a yummy dessert

Materials:

• a cup 
• Chocolate yogurt
• Oreo's
• gummy worm  
• spoon
•  snap lock bag

 Steps

• Firstly wash your hands .
• Now get you materials .
• put your yogurt in a cup .
• Next get your oreo's and smash in your bag but sure there is no air in the bag or it will pop.
• Finally put your gummy worm in the cup and enjoy.

If you follow these steps you will have a yummy dessert

Inspiration linear perspective

A horizon line is a line that goes across your page.
A vanishing dot is something that goes on the horizon line.
Objects look smaller as they get closer to the vanishing point.
One point perspective drawing is good for making it look real.

Buddy day

Today we finished making our buddy. We named him Freddie Gills and he does BMX.

Cross country

On Friday we ran 2 ks for Cross country. The hardest thing was going down the hill.
The thing I enjoyed was running a the straight and coming third

Dianne Rodger

Last Wednesday Dianne Rodger came in to talk to us about how and what she did at the Commonwealth games because our  topic this term is Excellence.


Her achievements are come first in New Zealand but in the two races she came 4 and in one of them she came 4 by a millisecond.

I learnt that she was a runner and that she has kids.

She shows excellence because she used to train all the time.

Personification

The old place grimiced in distress,no one lived in this place except the family of mice,the next week the house had it's last birthday that hour the house disappeared

Bang! Crash! as I hop into the boat to get me to the beach. As I climb up the sand walls The air is getting thicker and thicker from the smoke.  the Turkish are hiding from us. there’s the Turkish captain. As I hold the gun softly I see the captain, so bang! got him. The war has gone by and mum I’m fine.

Last week we had a cyber buster show that showed us how to be safe on technology and it was AWESOME and it was so funny.I learnt to tell your parents that your being bullyed and you DON'T reply.
